The Talk of the Table!

I thought these were adorable. I have a cutesy reusable lunch box and I love using it. It makes it just a little bit fun to bring my lunch. I love the button in the front and the zip close on the top. You would be the talk of the table with this little thang!

Should I bring my glue stick?

You might be wondering what types of "crafts" am I was talking about in my previous post. Are we talking elementary school ("She said she's a teacher." you think) glue and construction paper type crafts? No that's not it. I'm talking do it yourself crafts that enhance the beauty of your home - making things that you probably could buy at the store but can make yourself.

That brings us to the question...why not just buy it at the store?? Two reasons. Money (savin' it, that is) and character. It gives such character to a home having items that you have created and given your personal touch to. As women, we create the world around us for our families, or just for ourselves, and we do it with love and creativity.

So...some crafts I'm talking about are: refinishing furniture, hand-sewn items, calligraphy projects, scrapbooking, and whatever the next thing is that I get into.

Welcome to Elaine Lynn Design!

Welcome! My name is Lynn and I love figuring out new crafts and fun things to make. This blog will be dedicated to crafts of all types. Sometimes it saves me money (one of my goals for making my own stuff...) and sometimes I spend the same as if I had bought it at the store. But VERY RARELY do I ever spend more than what I would spend if I had not made it myself.

Anything on here that you want or like, I can make for you. Just ask me for prices or go to my Etsy shop also under the name Elaine Lynn Design. Also on this blog, about once a week, I'll be posting some fun items for sale that I find on Open Sky. You can visit my open sky page and see the treasures I've found.

Over the next few weeks, I'll post about different crafts projects I have done in the past and any new ones I'm figuring out. I'll post how I do them and where I get my supplies. I hope you are inspired, enjoy the site, and maybe find something you like.
